Dear Antonios, In the midst of this difficult time for our country, we have good news to report in our efforts to protect women from violence, and we wanted to share it with you right away. The Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) was just voted out of the Senate Judiciary Committee where it now needs to move to the full Senate floor for a vote. While this indicates great momentum to protect women from violence, we must continue to keep the pressure on Congress to pass VAWA before the end of September. Now it's crunch time! It is critical that we show the broadest possible support before the full Senate vote! ... Because of you, we're on a roll right now. Thank you for making a difference for women already, and thank you in advance for keeping the momentum going by asking your friends to join us. Sincerely,
