Warning your pay is under threat!!!
The Howard government is taking away fundamental rights of working people that are enshrined in international; law. The government is going to destroy any existing protections for working people. The government is planning to increase the power of employers and reduce the rights and entitlements of workers. In particular the government plans to: Remove basic rights and employment conditions from awards Give the boss much more power to sack workers , impose individual contracts and try to keep the union out of the workplace Limit the ability of workers to take strike action over emterprise agreements, or health and safety disputes Increase the penalties against workers and unions who take industrial action and create government inspectors to chase down workers and unions who take action. Abolish redundancy pay and protections from unfair dismissal for people who work in business employing less than 100 staff. Use individual contracts to increase the use of casual labour , undercut existing wages, conditions, and health and safety regulations. Warning your pay is under threat! Protect your pay slip! your conditions are your right... don't give them up without a fight! Fight John Howard's industrial relations legislation. |
